After making an adjustment to the sky of the "Roam" painting, I have decided the warmer violet color of the sky does not work. It was an experiment that didn't work with the surrounding colors and overall temperature of the atmosphere. Today, I am lightly sanding the surface of the painted sky with 180 grit sandpaper. Once the surface is dusted, I begin painting a cooler sky with a number 10 flat nylon brush and a blended combination of French Ultramarine Blue, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, and Titanium White. There is a greater emphasis on the French Ultramarine Blue this time.
