This session is interesting because I paint the difference between background, middle ground, and foreground in a representational painting of a landscape. Start with the sky first. Objects that are in the distant foreground appear lighter, muted, and more vague. Mix titanium white with color pigment of green to get a lighter green that is more muted in the background. As trees and plants are closer to the foreground, use less white and more pure pigment color.
